The Park Playground, a leading immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences provider, has unveiled its newest location-based entertainment (LBE) VR game, NANOCLASH FOCUS. The game marks an industry-first, fully-mobile, free roam VR experience, where opposing teams compete simultaneously on two separate fields.

Following the success of a previous competitive VR experience, NANOCLASH FOCUS was developed to offer a unique and immersive free roam VR experience. The game is now available at all of The Park Playground’s worldwide venues.

NANOCLASH FOCUS features a futuristic televised sports battle concept, utilizing HTC VIVE 3 headsets for enhanced mobility. Players join teams of 4 to 8 members, shooting at opponents from hanging platforms in a dynamic and interactive environment. The objective is to move the enemy’s platform further away from the arena floor while moving one’s own platform closer to secure victory. Teams can use ‘power ups’ to navigate the game and gain a strategic edge. This design promotes teamwork and competitive gameplay, as players must constantly adapt their positions and reassess their tactics.

The Park Playground’s CEO, Peter Vindevogel, emphasized the innovative nature of NANOCLASH FOCUS, stating that it “bridges the previously untapped gap between LBVR and other gaming formats.” He also noted the increasing crossover between LBE VR and traditional gaming elements in the future.

In developing NANOCLASH FOCUS, The Park Playground began exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. During the creation process, the design team used AI to streamline their workflow, generating various avatar options for players while maintaining the high-quality output The Park Playground is known for. The company plans to continue incorporating AI technology to enhance user experiences and improve the efficiency of its development process.

Gilles-Adrien Cenni, CTO of The Park Playground, acknowledged the contributions of partners HTC and Triangle Factory in bringing NANOCLASH FOCUS to life. He emphasized the importance of leveraging emerging technologies like AI for LBE VR providers to stay relevant and continue delivering innovative VR experiences that keep users engaged. Cenni also highlighted the necessity of designing VR experiences with the technology that powers them, ensuring seamless performance and future scalability without technical constraints.
