The new year is bringing in more ways to battle in Skylanders Ring of Heroes, the mobile team turn-based RPG. All-new content including a brand-new battle mode, special events, and a seasonal battle arena known as “Sky Tower” are available today for free in the latest game update to Skylanders Ring of Heroes, a game recently rehauled and revamped in November of last year by publisher and developer Com2uS along with Activision.
The newly introduced “Sky Tower” features different battle scenarios, allowing players to form up to three battle decks according to their in-game tier. No two of the same characters can be used on each team, driving players to utilize their best tactics while building a deck or strategizing in battle. Up to two characters can now be added and switched during battle to further encourage diverse gameplay strategies. Players must now consider their opponents’ abilities more carefully and prepare for multiple scenarios.
The Sky Tower operates seasonally and rewards players with special in-game currency that is needed for upgrades. Rewards are given out at the end of each season according to the player’s achievements. Two limited time in-game events are now available in Skylanders Ring of Heroes:
- Premium Summon Ticket: Begins 12 a.m. PT on Jan. 8 – 11:59 p.m. PT on Jan. 24
- Event allows players to summon the one high grade Skylander – in the form of a Summon Ticket – every day for anyone who signs in.
- Mission Event: Today – 6:59 p.m. PT on Jan. 17
- Rewards include, based on the number of times players enter the Sky Tower, unique in-game items such as Sky Tower coins, Evolution Splendors and Awakening stones.
