New Game Mode Comes to MIDNIGHT GHOST HUNT in Halloween Update

MIDNIGHT GHOST HUNT CELEBRATES HALLOWEEN WITH CREEPY NEW GAME MODE, STEAM SALE AND MORE.

Coffee Stain’s multiplayer prop haunt showdown enters its first spooky season since launching into Steam Early Access, bringing with it an assortment of new tricks to play and treats to enjoy!

Today Vaulted Sky Games and Coffee Stain, publisher of Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic, and Satisfactory, are gearing up for the scariest time of year by introducing a host of chilling new additions in Midnight Ghost Hunt’s third update. This includes the game’s first new mode, a hefty 50% discount in the Steam Scream Fest, and, just for this week, the ability to earn double the amount of Ghost Shards to spend on in-game goodies.

After launching into Steam Early Access in March and opening the doors to its Doll Factory and Carnival updates in May and September, players can now delve into a new experimental game mode that offers a slower-paced, more eerie atmosphere to Midnight Ghost Hunt’s trademark hide-and-shriek chaos. For the first time, “Darkness” plunges play into the depths of night, where a Hunter’s flashlight may mean the difference between life and death. Go full survival mode with much more limited Hunter ammo and an extended 15 minutes to midnight before Ghosts return more powerful than ever, and the Hunters become the hunted.

Plus, if you’ve got it, haunt it! Both Ghosts and Hunters can decorate themselves in accordance with the holiday spirit by donning the Pumpkin Head Ghost skin and Duck Hunter Hunter skin, as well as a festive twist on some of the game’s best actionable Hero Props. The Chomping Pumpkin, Pumpkin Jack-in-the-Box, and Witch Doll props are scattered throughout for players to possess and jump-scare their opponents.

The surprises keep coming, with new-level randomization at play! The Mansion map now spawns randomly with either the classic Attic or, if you’re lucky, an all-new Wine Cellar. New titles and general sinister spruce-up of each map top off this avalanche of treats this All Hallow’s Eve.

Midnight Ghost Hunt launched into Steam Early Access in late March this year to universal acclaim, and this update continues the games’ continuing progression as it prepares for full commercial launch.

Midnight Ghost Hunt is available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 at full price, but new players can enjoy this array of supernatural happenings just in time for Halloween at 50% off during the Steam Scream Fest.
