NEW SAMURAI SHODOWN DLC AND NEOGEO POCKET COLOR CLASSICS TEAR UP THE FIGHTING GAME SCENE

SNK CORPORATION has announced that its critically acclaimed, award-winning fighting sensation SAMURAI SHODOWN will offer WARDEN, the lone swordsman from Ubisoft’s mega-popular For Honor franchise, as a DLC character tomorrow, June 24, on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, Google Stadia, and Epic Games Store. As the embodiment of high honor and nobility, WARDEN has journeyed far and wide to find an opponent truly worthy of battle.

Ubisoft commented the following in their official collaboration video message.

“We are very excited and proud to see our knight, the WARDEN, join SNK’s SAMURAI SHODOWN as a DLC character,” says Nicolas Bombray, Game Director of Ubisoft’s For Honor. “It’s an honor to be part of such a renown franchise that has existed for decades.”

Additionally, SNK has announced that NEOGEO POCKET COLOR classics KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 and SAMURAI SHODOWN! 2 will be released later this summer as part of the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR SELECTION on Nintendo Switch™. The titles will look and play exactly as they did when they originally launched for the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR in 1999. Friends will have the chance to duke it out with a single copy of each game and change the exterior designs of their virtual handhelds whenever they see fit.

NEOGEO POCKET COLOR classic SNK GALS’ FIGHTERS is now available on Nintendo Switch™ and debuted the NEOGEO POCKET COLOR SELECTION. More unannounced SNK classics are slated to launch on the platform soon.
