Talented ex-Fable developers Rogue Sun have released an all-new animated short titled ‘The Little Soldier Who Dared’ narrated by legendary actor/comedian/writer Stephen Fry. Set in the Tin Hearts universe, the enchanting animated short is available to stream now on YouTube and launching soon as a free audiobook exclusively via Spotify.
The Little Soldier Who Dared acts as a prequel to the upcoming narrative-based, puzzle adventure Tin Hearts. The short follows inventor Albert and his daughter Rose as they travel to a toymaking convention to show off their wares and have an important meeting. Albert’s toys, however, are special in ways unknown even to him, and the story takes a whimsical and magical turn when the convention hall is emptied of its crowds. Narrated by Stephen Fry, the short is written by Kostas Zarifis and Mike Faraday, with art by Taufiq Permana, animation by Thor Hayton, and sound and music by Matthew Chastney.
Rogue Sun founder and Managing Director Kostas Zarifis expressed his excitement for the project, saying, “We always had a vision for an expanded story on Tin Hearts, so when our Publisher suggested making a prequel story, with this wild vision of audiobooks and animation, we were in love straight away.”
Players can purchase Tin Hearts on Nintendo Switch today, with the game launching on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Utomik), PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox consoles on May 16th. The game is an enchanting narrative puzzle that will take players on a journey through a world of magic, whimsy, and wonder.
