New Trailer Showcases Lords of the Fallen Unreal Technology

CI Games unveiled a new Unreal Tech Demo during Epic’s State of Unreal keynote at GDC, featuring the game engine used in Lords of the Fallen. The Hexworks development team demonstrated Skyrest Bridge, one of the game’s early locations, to showcase how Unreal Engine 5’s advanced technologies have brought their ambitious vision for the upcoming dark-fantasy action RPG to life. The demo displayed the game’s intricate character customization options that allow players to create unique personas by combining 3D scans of real people with UE5’s technology. It also demonstrated how Hexworks used Unreal’s Lumen GI to light up the complex environments in Lords of the Fallen in real time and how the game’s world-traveling mechanic was made possible through the custom toolset that Hexworks built within UE5.

Lords of the Fallen will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this year, and is available to wishlist on all platforms.

Platforms: Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S
