NVIDIA is bringing RTX 4080 GPUs to its GeForce NOW cloud-gaming service

GeForce NOW is going beyond fast, delivering GeForce RTX 4080-class gaming to billions of devices — available exclusively in the new, high-performance Ultimate membership tier.

Powered by the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, upgraded GeForce NOW RTX 4080 SuperPODs will deliver over 64 teraflops of graphics horsepower to an individual user, which is more than 5x that of an Xbox Series X and nearly 1.75x over the previous-generation SuperPODs.

The GeForce NOW Ultimate membership raises the bar on cloud gaming, bringing it closer than ever to a local gaming experience. With GeForce RTX 4080 performance, Ultimate members will be the first to experience true PC gaming on nearly any device —streaming at 240 frames per second from the cloud with full ray tracing and DLSS 3, in hit games like Portal With RTX. With the addition of NVIDIA Reflex, GeForce NOW achieves click-to-pixel latency below 40 milliseconds — another first in cloud gaming.

The GeForce NOW Ultimate membership is available for new user sign-ups today, at the current rate of 19,99 € per month or 99,99 € for six months. GeForce RTX 3080 members’ accounts have already been converted to the new membership at their pricing. Upgraded GeForce RTX 4080 performance streaming from the new SuperPODs will be available in North America and Europe starting later this month, with continued rollout over the months to follow.

New In the NVIDIA Studio

A creative revolution is underway as a rising wave of 2D artists moves to 3D. For them, and the 110 million professional and hobbyist PC creators, there’s NVIDIA Studio. New 40 Series NVIDIA Studio laptops and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards are powering this tidal shift as they enable RTX accelerations in more than 110 of the most popular (and graphically demanding) applications while powering incredible, time-saving AI tools.

And there’s breaking news with the entire Studio suite of apps — Omniverse, Canvas, Broadcast, and RTX Remix.

  • Omniverse is expanding with Blender enhancements, a new suite of experimental generative AI tools for 3D artists and thousands of new, free Universal Scene Description (USD) assets.
  • Built on Omniverse, NVIDIA RTX Remix will enter early access soon. The free modding platform provides tools to quickly create and share mods for classic games with full ray tracing, enhanced materials, DLSS 3 and NVIDIA Reflex.
  • Broadcast is adding new features, including eye contact and vignette; plus improvements for the popular virtual background feature, adding temporal information for increased stability.
  • Canvas will introduce 360-degree images that can be used as environment maps in 3D apps.

Finally, there’s RTX Super Resolution, a feature that uses AI to improve the quality of video streaming by removing blocky compression artifacts and upscaling video resolution. Video Super Resolution will be available on GeForce RTX 40 and 30 Series GPUs with the February release of Chrome and Edge browsers.

NVIDIA Reflex Ecosystem Continues To Expand With New Games, 1440p 360Hz Monitors & GeForce NOW Support

Reflex gets even better with new game support, 1440p 360Hz displays with Reflex Analyzer, and more

NVIDIA Reflex enables GeForce players to reduce system latency by up to 50%, for the most responsive gaming experience possible on any platform. At CES NVIDIA announced the addition of Party Animals from Recreate Games and Source Technology to the Reflex roster, bringing the tally of released games supporting NVIDIA Reflex to over 50.

GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs power 1440p gaming at ultra-high FPS, delivering the responsive, precise experience that competitive gamers demand. At CES, NVIDIA announced two new 1440p 360 Hz esports displays: the Acer Predator XB273U F is now available and the upcoming AOC AGON PRO AG276Q.

Together with next-generation 1440p 360Hz G-SYNC with Reflex displays, competitive gamers can now play at 1440p without compromise. 1440p gaming on RTX 40 Series gives players increased image fidelity and improved motion clarity without trading off refresh rate or responsiveness.

Also announced at CES, the new Alienware 500Hz Gaming Monitor (AW2524H) 24.5” 1080p NVIDIA G-SYNC display with Reflex which joins the ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 540Hz 24” 1080p G-SYNC display with Reflex.
