First developer livestream gives first look at a bold new co-op game.
Development partnership Nvizzio Creations and Meridian 4 took to Twitch on Thursday, April 12th to showcase Eden Rising Supremacy for the very first time to a live audience. The livestream presentation allowed lead designer Brent Elision to show uninterrupted gameplay, allowing players to see a glimpse into the development of the game and the team behind it.
The livestream unveiled the world of Eden, a lush alien planet filled with dangers and high risk rewards. The developers allowed players to see the core tenets behind Eden Risings genre mash-up including the first real in-depth look at the co-op tower defense gameplay and open world exploration.
Nvizzio’s development team went on to answer a live Q&A and announced that regular livestreams will be coming providing development updates and sneak peaks into new content later down the line.
One feature of note that has not been shown before was the games crafting system which allows players to collect resources from around the world and craft weapons, armor, turrets, and traps in an intuitive UI that doesn’t take players away from the action. The crafting system and its respective craftables are designed to complement the rest of the game by giving players and their allies the tools necessary to take down the most difficult enemies in the hostile planet.
“The creatures of Eden will require skill and teamwork to take down.” Said Brent Ellison, Lead Designer. “It is important for players to form strategies in order to survive regardless of whether they are exploring or defending one of the crucibles. Straight up combat may not cut it against the hard-hitting giants of Eden and players will have to use tactics and the environment to their advantage such as laying traps and luring a giant creature into an ambush.”
The livestream followed after the release of a new gameplay trailer just a day before.
