Fortnite has introduced the highly anticipated Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear and Thunder Spears in the game. With the arrival of these new features, players can experience new ways to battle and strategize in the Fortnite Island. In addition to the new gear, the Special Operations Squad, featuring Eren Jaeger, Captain Levi, and Mikasa Ackermann, is also joining the game with unlockable outfits and accessories.
Players can retrieve the ODM Gear and Thunder Spears from various sources, such as the ground, Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers. The ODM Gear allows players to grapple in the air and strike opponents below, while Thunder Spears are arm-launched rockets designed to penetrate armored structures and damage enemies on both sides.
To unlock the Eren Jaeger Outfit, players must complete the Eren Jaeger Battle Pass Quests in Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 2. Additional items and accessories, including a Loading Screen, Emote, and more, can also be unlocked through these quests. The Battle Pass purchase is required for completing the Eren Jaeger Quests.
Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann Outfits, as well as matching accessories, are available in the Item Shop. Players can also represent their regiment with pride by purchasing the Regiment Cloak Back Bling from the Shop and displaying an emblem of their choice on the back.
Other updates in V24.20 include the unvaulting of Dirt Bikes, balance changes for various weapons, and major bug fixes addressing issues such as the healing effect of hot springs and invisible rebooted players.
