Harena Data has partnered with Amuka Esports, Canada’s Leader in esports tournaments, to provide an ongoing collegiate esports league to Toronto through the Canadian Collegiate Esports League (CCEL). The CCEL, which is composed of 13 universities, will bring robust and inclusive esports opportunities, tournaments, and scholarships to Canadian students in Amuka’s Toronto facility and soon-to-be Ottawa facilities.
The intercollegiate organization is governed by a group of Canadian post-secondary institutions, including:
- University of Victoria
- University of Regina
- Lethbridge College
- University of Lethbridge
- Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
- University of Winnipeg
- Simon Fraser University
- York University
- University of Manitoba
- McGill University
- University of Windsor
- MacEwan University
- Dalhousie University
Using Harena Data’s esports analytics and club management portal, GYO Score, participating universities can organize competitive or casual matches, manage their players and teams, connect with other schools, and keep track of leagues and records.
“The Canadian Collegiate Esports League is going to be a massive element of the collegiate esports ecosystem in Canada and we are excited to be working with Harena Data to deliver the best competitive gaming experience at our venues in Toronto, Windsor and Ottawa,” said Ben Feferman, CEO of Amuka Esports
“We’re partnering with Amuka to expand Canada’s offering of esports and push the country as a leader in the industry,” said Bill Dever, Chief Strategy Officer at Harena Data. “Toronto is a space known for innovation, so there’s no better place to push for the future of collegiate esports.”

Thanks for the coverage about our esports venue and partnership announcement. We are excited to be opening up in Ottawa soon, (whenever Doug gives us the go ahead) and would love to see if we could do a follow-up interview to talk more about what we plant to bring to Ottawa
