Outplay Entertainment ranks 61st in Deloitte’s Fast 500 (EMEA)

Outplay Entertainment, the largest independent mobile developer in the UK, has ranked 61st as part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 – a league table of the fastest-growing technology companies in EMEA. This follows Outplay placing first in Scotland, and 11th in the UK Technology Fast 50 (November).

The programme recognises the fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), over the past four years. This year, it features winners from 18 countries, who have experienced an average growth rate of 1,377%, up from 967% in 2016. Outplay Entertainment reported revenue growth of 1,904% over the period.

Bolstering the substantial percentage growth, Outplay has celebrated a number of business accolades this year; Outplay ranked 13th in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 (September 2017), and was shortlisted in the Best Developer category as part of the first Pocket Gamer Mobile Awards (November 2017). The studio also announced the acquisition of EightPixelsSquare in December 2016.

Described as a novel social and mobile gaming company, Outplay Entertainment, who is headquartered in Dundee (Scotland) – is obsessively focused on quality. Its 175-strong team has developed several critically acclaimed games, and to date, these games have been downloaded by over 100 million players from all corners of the globe.

  • Castle Creeps TD – downloaded five million times during the first five days of launch
  • Alien Creeps TD – reached 20 million downloads in May 2017
  • Retro Soccer – reached #1 on the Apple App Store, ahead of Facebook, SnapChat and Instagram
