SEGA has shared a new NGS Headline, a program designed to inform players about the present and future of their free-to-play online action RPG, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis (PSO2 NGS). Today’s NGS Headline outlined the May updates, 2nd Anniversary events, and the highly anticipated Ultra Evolution update set to release in June.
Series producer Yuya Kimura provided an update on the Ultra Evolution update, focusing on the Creative Space feature and showcasing the design tools in action. With the Creative Space, players will be able to create unique game elements by combining Parts, resulting in brand new ways to play. The video highlights a variety of creative spaces, such as towering castles, modern convenience stores, cozy campgrounds, and luxurious pools. Players can expect to explore their creativity to new heights in their Creative Space, launching June 7th.
The second half of the NGS 2nd Anniversary Event kicks off on May 10th. Players will be able to exchange Seasonal Points at Xiemi’s Seasonal Points Exchange Shop for extra Duel Quest-Boost Augment Capsules. Taitai’s Specu Rappy, the Grand Award winner of the Rappy Design Contest, will make an appearance in-game to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of NGS. Players can challenge themselves during the ARKS Records, and participate in special Daily Tasks, Weekly Tasks, and Limited-time Tasks with NGS 2nd SP Scratch Tickets as rewards.
The Limited-time Quest: A Wasteland Interception will be available for one week only, starting on May 10th. This 24-player quest features consecutive battles with the Urgent Quest boss enemies Dustyl Vera and Renus Vera, now upgraded to Megalotix. Completing the quest will reward players with Seasonal Points, Augment Capsules designed to boost Duel Quests, required items to unlock Potential Lv. 6, and the 8-star-Rarity Revita weapon series. Players can also earn Star Gems and the Title: Fresh Grass.
To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of NGS, the Revival AC Scratch Ticket: 2nd Anniv Thankful will be available from May 10th, featuring popular PSO2-spec accessories, hairstyles, and Emotes.
The Limited-time Quest: Dazzling Chaos Suppression Op ’23 will start on May 24th. This renewed version of a past quest will now include Kvaris and Stia enemies as backup, in addition to Aelio and Retem enemies. Quartz Skodin, usually encountered only in Neusen Plant, is guaranteed to appear, and Captan may also join players at the end of the quest. Players can earn Seasonal Points, Star Gems, and the Limited-time Title: Lush Spring by completing this quest.
