Post-Apocalyptic Farming Adventure No Place Like Home Arrives on Nintendo Switch on May 4th

Merge Games and developer Awaken Realms have announced that the post-apocalyptic farming simulation game, ‘No Place Like Home,’ will be coming to Nintendo Switch on May 4th. Initially launched on Steam, where it received nearly 3,000 positive reviews, this charming and relaxing adventure game will make its console debut in both digital and physical formats. Physical versions of the game will be available in June at various retailers, including Signature Edition Games.

In ‘No Place Like Home,’ players take on the role of Ellen Newland, who visits her family’s old farm only to discover it in ruins and her grandpa missing. With questions on her mind and adventure in her heart, players embark on a journey to find Ellen’s grandpa, rescue missing farm animals, and help the local community.

The game is set in a world abandoned by humanity, who have fled to Mars after trashing Earth. Players are tasked with restoring the environment and rebuilding their family farm using recycled materials collected from the remnants of humanity’s waste.

Key features of ‘No Place Like Home’ include:

  1. Cleaning the world by destroying trash mountains, vacuuming rubbish, and recycling resources to build a dream farm.
  2. Befriending local neighbors, who can provide assistance during farming and adventuring endeavors.
  3. Finding seeds to grow produce and cooking delicious dishes from a wide variety of ingredients that can be traded for useful items.
  4. Exploring and adventuring through diverse zones, such as the Lonely Hills and Frozen Peaks.
  5. Rescuing and befriending lost farm animals, gaining their trust, and throwing fun barnyard parties with funky hats.
  6. Rebuilding, refurbishing, and decorating a cozy home with unique decorations and items found across the world.

Developed in partnership with Awaken Realms and Merge Games, ‘No Place Like Home’ offers players a cozy and relaxing post-apocalyptic farming adventure on Nintendo Switch.
