“Project Arrhythmia“, an award-winning, musical bullet-hell in which all things beautiful are deadly, has been picked up for publishing by Top Hat Studios, Inc; currently released into Early Access on Steam and developed by Vitamin Games LLC, the game has already been met with a phenomenal reception amongst genre fans, with a 96% overwhelmingly positive review rate from 726 reviews.
A cacophony of lights, music, pulses and blocks, Project Arrhythmia features tight bullet-hell style gameplay where up to 4 players in local co-op must navigate their way through evolving scenes and obstacles, all timed to the beat. The partnership between Vitamin Games and Top Hat Studios will provide the resources and means for the addition of a new story mode and campaign to the game, on top of pre-existing single levels. Set in 205X, a mysterious disease called the “Tokyo Flu” has been ravaging the world. A lone computer programmer, Anna Schroeder, attempts to find the cure with her trusty supercomputer-companion HAL. Stumbling upon various “Projects”, the duo decides to investigate the efficacy of a cure by using a pulse and rhythm-based interface.
Project Arrhythmia also features a powerful and easy-to-use in-built-level editor, allowing players to create their own stages, use their own music, and challenge their friends with integrated workshop support! All levels created with the editor are fully integrated into the game’s Custom Level Mode for easy sharing and syncing of custom content.
Project Arrhythmia is currently available in Early Access on Steam, with an expected date towards late 2021 to be available at full retail. Over the course of its early access, the developer hopes to build on the current game by adding new features and gameplay editions, including an expanded story mode.
