PUBG MOBILE CLUB OPEN 2019 CONCLUDES 532 MILLION TOTAL VIEWS

From Nov. 29 to Dec. 2, millions of fans and community members tuned into the PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Fall Split Global Finals happened at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to witness the largest mobile esports tournament.

Indonesia’s Bigetron RA earned the championship with grand prize of $180,000 USD, along with PUBG MOBILE bragging rights for the season. China’s TOP ESPORTS and Thailand’s MEGA Esports teams took home $90,000 USD and $45,000 USD for second and third place respectively.

Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing, Tencent Games kicked off the massive event by thanking the PUBG MOBILE community for their continued support, stating, “PUBG MOBILE is more than just a game, it’s a platform where players have fun, challenge themselves, keep in touch with friends and family, and meet new people.” Vincent went on to tease several upcoming developments for PUBG MOBILE, including a new colorblind feature and details about the highly-anticipated upcoming RageGear mode.

Vincent also revealed upcoming tactics to continually make PUBG MOBILE a fair and inclusive game for all the players, including a new anti-cheat initiative “Project: Ban Pan” which will be composed of both an internal security system and out-of-game resources. The initiative will work in conjunction with the new Safety Station website which will continually address and prevent suspicious cheating behavior.

In addition, PUBG MOBILE teamed up with superstar musicians Naim Daniel, Henry Lau and Badshah for exclusive live performances in between the 3-days competition, making the tournament more entertaining to watch. The PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 concluded as 532 million total views tuned in the official livestreaming and 57 million total watch hours (excluding China platforms), which is more than 11 times and nearly 15 times of the total in 2018 respectively. The esports success was announced in time as PUBG MOBILE revealed the milestone of 600 million downloads worldwide (excluding mainland China). Besides, PUBG MOBILE has earned the 2019 Google Play “Users Choice” and “Best Competitive”, also the AppStore “Top Games of 2019”, which it is the 2nd consecutive year winning the best game award.
