Red Bull Announces iRacing Series Ring Masters

Qualifiers to be held, leading into a National Finals to crown Canada’s fastest racing sim player

Red Bull, Pfaff, and iRacing are proud to announce Red Bull Ring Masters, the premier event series that is searching for Canada’s best iRacing driver. Online qualifiers begin on October 18th, 2021, and anyone looking to play just needs to open iRacing. Information on how to join can be found on redbull.ca/ringmasters.

Rather than putting everyone into a lobby and seeing who comes first, Red Bull Ring Masters will see drivers compete in a series of 3 Time Attack Qualifiers. Every week, the top 8 drivers that post the fastest times will qualify for the knockout round, ahead of the finals.

Red Bull Racing Esports driver, 2020 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup Champion, 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB titleholder, and Red Bull Ring Masters ambassador Sebastian Job, says the format of this event really lends itself towards giving Canadian players an objective with stakes to focus on as they improve their skills.

Each series gives gamers a week to complete their runs, starting with Circuit Gilles Villenueve, and followed by the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Red Bull Ring courses. The top 8 drivers with the fastest times each week (a total of 24) will qualify for a knockout round, set for mid-November where the playing field will be slimmed down from 24 qualified racers to 8 finalists, via a series of Sprint Races.

Prizing for the event includes a $5000 Racing Sim Upgrade Voucher to improve the winner’s setup, 1:1 coaching sessions with Sebastian Job, as well as a Pfaff Motorsport Track experience. The top 8 finalists will be flown into Toronto to compete, in person, at the Red Bull Gaming Studio for The Red Bull Ring Masters finals broadcast, November 20, streamed by iRacing.

All races across the Qualifiers, Knockout Round, and Finals will have racers using GT3 cars. That class of car offers a unique challenge to competitors who will need to manage their brakes effectively if they want to succeed on the Red Bull Ring Masters courses. According to Job, iRacing is the best platform for racers to take on these types of challenges.
