ROCCAT Introduces the flagship model for their Burst series in the Pro Air Burst comes in 2 different models including a lighter wired version. The Burst Air Pro can connect to your PC in up to 3 ways including 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and the old faithful wire. This Mouse features a Lightweight symmetrical shape, 100-hour battery life, a Water and dust resistant Bionic shell, 4 AIMO RGB lighting zones, 19K DPI optical sensor with 400 IPS tracking speed, on Heat-treated pure PTFE glides priced at $99.99.
I prefer the shape of this mouse over the ROCCAT Kone series, even for the larger size hands. This specific model came to us in the white version, but you can also get it in black. You can see the honeycomb machined indents for reduced weight inside, but the shell is completely closed. This of course eliminates or resists water and dust. Heat treated Polytetrafluoroethylene glides are the way to go they feel so smooth. Burst Pro Air weighs in at a modest 81 grams.
Even though I have not seen the black version up close I know for a fact you are going to get more out of the 4 AIMO RGB lighting zones with the white version. This white model is the business if you’re an RGB fan. Its side panels are solid, but the top and bottom panels exuberate RGB lighting. It’s really a beautiful thing, I am pretty sure ROCCAT has read my reviews. Some of us gamers care more about our battle station looks than actual performance. It’s the RGB cult at its finest.
ROCCAT calls its wireless technology Stellar Wireless which is a gaming-grade 2.4GHz low latency application. If for some reason you don’t have a USB port for the 2.4GHz receiver you can use 5.2 Bluetooth to connect your device. Finally, when all else fails go wired, it will always be the S-tier application. Staller wireless is A-tier responsive and unless you’re competing in tournaments the luxury of a wireless mouse is worth it. No worries though a full charge gives you 100 hours of battery life, that is over 4 straight days of playtime and forgetting to plug it in before you need to charge.
Burst Pro Air glides on my personal favorite material Heat-treated pure PTFE. At this moment I don’t think anyone would disagree it’s the best glide material on the market. It equips with 6 programmable buttons fro fast swapping between games. ROCCAT also arms it with an Owl-Eye Optical sensor which boasts a 19K DPI and 400 IPS tracking speed. My favorite feature is the Titan Switch Optical, which means speed of light actuation. I love this switch! It’s literally a laser beam. Finally, it’s compatible with the Nvidia Reflex software which dynamically reduces system latency by combining both GPU and game optimizations.
This mouse has everything a hardcore gamer would want while also catering to the cult RGB fans. I would like to see the price at $89.99 but this wouldn’t be a deal breaker for pulling the trigger on a purchase. Back by a 100 million click test and a 2-year warranty it definitely helps smooth out the price tag. This mouse will be a new GLYFE studio resident for sure!
