ROCCAT SYN Buds Air Wireless Gaming Ear Buds Review

Summary
SYN Buds Air comes equipped with Steller Wireless Bluetooth technology, 6mm driver units, a 60ms low-latency mode for gaming, and Built-in dual microphones priced at $99.99. The Syn Buds Air wireless earbuds break the scale at a ridiculous .35 ounces, yes less than one ounce! Precision-tuned 6mm driver units make up the sound system for the SYN Buds Air wireless earbuds. A 60ms low-latency gaming mode is also available when gaming on mobile using the companion app. The sound is mad “nice”. Backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty you are guaranteed to get a ROCCAT quality product. Inside you will find a charging cable and high-quality silicone ear tips in S, M, & L. I like this product a ton for laptops, Nintendo Switch, and mobile gaming.

A completely new category for us here at GLYFE, but people who game or Livestream with earbuds are more common than you think. Especially in the Livestream industry, you see many, including the big names using earbuds for comfort along with XLR microphones. As someone who games for very long hours, I prefer headsets under a pound. Even when a headset has a less comfortable ear cushion if it’s a lighter weight it will feel better on your head after long hours. The Syn Buds Air wireless earbuds break the scale at a ridiculous .35 ounces, yes less than one ounce! In combination with the lightweight, they also fit snug in the ear without having to re-adjust them every time you move.

What an added dimension earbuds would create if we could find a pair that we liked over a headset for gaming. When it comes to the lifestyle aspect of wireless sound, I could see myself wearing a larger headset like the Syn Air Pro while I am doing something like waiting in an airport. On the flip side, I can’t take the Syn Air Pro to the gym or on a run like I can with the SYN Buds Air. Not only because of the mobility earbuds give you due to their lightweight and small size but also the IPX4 splash resistance technology to protect them from your sweat. While both can connect to your PC, Nintendo Switch, mobile device, or any Bluetooth-supported hardware only the earbuds allow you to be fully active. You get the best of both worlds for tasks like doing a Just Dance Livestream.

Precision-tuned 6mm driver units make up the sound system for the SYN Buds Air wireless earbuds. A 60ms low-latency gaming mode is also available when gaming on mobile using the companion app. Both mic clarity and sound is mad “nice”. But after a few hours of gaming on different devices, I have concluded that there is no replacement for the deep sound of a full-sized gaming headset. Hold on a second though… We are not always looking for an optimal sound experience. I did enjoy playing my mobile device and Nintendo Switch more in outdoor settings on the SYN Buds Air wireless earbuds. Actually, I am going to expand on that a bit and say SYN Buds Air wireless earbuds provided a better experience in most places outside of the house on those devices.

Backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty you are guaranteed to get a ROCCAT quality product. Inside you will find a charging cable and high-quality silicone ear tips in S, M, & L. I like this product a ton for laptops, a Nintendo Switch, and mobile gaming. These earbuds will be making their way into my personal collection.
