Skylanders™ Ring of Heroes Celebrates 100 Days and Surpasses Two Million Downloads

Celebrating 100 days since its release, mobile action-RPG Skylanders™ Ring of Heroes, a marquee collaboration between mobile publisher Com2uS and Activision, continues to grow immensely with more than 2 million downloads to date and a wide array of massive updates implemented in response to the community’s suggestions.

“We’re actively involved in community discussions and open to all feedback towards any of our games to show players that Com2uS is willing to deliver mobile games, such as Skylanders™ Ring of Heroes, that mobile players want,” said Will Sim, Producer at GAMEVIL Com2uS. “We want to highlight the community’s voice and continue to use their sentiment to shape and create better games for everyone.”

The Skylanders™ Ring of Heroes team spent the past 100 days turning the game into a truer free-to-play experience, the number one community ask, by significantly reducing the “energy” needed to complete various in-game actions. Players now need to use far less premium currency to move in-game actions forward, therefore decreasing the game’s pay-to-win mentality.

Skylanders™ Ring of Heroes further sets itself apart from other mobile games, including sister game and global phenomenon Summoners War, by shaking up tried-and-true turned-based 3vs3 combat many monster-collecting games include with a near real-time, fast-paced fighting system to better engage players. It also subverts typical random monster summoning mechanics most “gacha” games include by allowing players to unlock any character in the game through collecting pieces of each monster – gather enough, and the character is added to your battle-ready roster.
