Ziggurat Interactive, the multiplatform retro and modern game publisher, is bringing back the classic title of the Dreamcast era with a new and exciting entry, Slave Zero X. Created in partnership with Poppy Works and the team behind the renowned Devil Engine, the game takes place in the same world as the original Slave Zero (1999) and features British actor Ian Russell as Master Kurikara, a character players will encounter in their journey. Known for his work in Payday 2, RWBY: Arrowfell, and Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, Ian Russell is set to showcase his talent in this fast-paced, hard-hitting, biopunk action game.

Slave Zero™ X will offer a new side-scrolling hack-and-slash experience to fans of the original game. In the game, players fuse with a sentient death-dealing biosuit to fight against the violent forces of the SovKhan, an evil tyrant. The game features multiple gameplay modes, including a story mode, training mode, and Bloody Palace Mode. Players will have to battle their way through a variety of futuristic 2.5D dystopian urban levels to defeat genetically enhanced biopunk opponents.

The game also boasts brutal battles, cutthroat missions, and climactic arch-villains in unforgettable combat sequences. Players can chain together lethal attack combos with their sword and an array of explosive ordinance while leaping, sprinting, and flipping their way through the biopunk world. The game’s world is also worthy of H.R. Giger, offering an immersive environment filled with heavy drum ‘n bass and industrial tracks that get more intense as the action heats up.

Slave Zero™ X is now available to wishlist on Steam and GOG, and players can try out the demo on Steam.
