Soul Survivors, a dark fantasy time-survival roguelite game from developer and publisher Stingbot Games, is set to launch on PC via Steam Early Access on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The game combines the fast pace of time-survival games with the skill-based systems found in action RPGs and Souls-like games, offering a rewarding and engaging experience built around highly replayable sessions.
In Soul Survivors, players can choose from two playable heroes during the Early Access launch, with six planned in total throughout development. They will progress through two unique dark fantasy environments filled with various monsters and formidable bosses. Players can select The Bogatyr, a heroic knight with heavy armor and short-range attacks, or The Necromancer, who can reanimate corpses to create an overwhelming army.
By defeating enemies, players earn experience to unlock powerful abilities that significantly change each character’s skillset. They can improve auto attacks, unlock permanent talent upgrades, and master an array of character builds to create the ultimate killing machine.
The game features dangerous locales such as the haunted Linden Forest, where players will encounter rare area-specific enemies and stage-changing rewards. Players can also discover Sacrifice Altars, where they can trade health for ability upgrades. Each stage is endless, and after defeating all bosses, players will enter Cursed Mode, presenting the ultimate challenge of survival.
Soul Survivors’ Early Access release on Steam is set to offer a blend of roguelike runs, challenging combat, and meta-game progression, providing players with a captivating and highly replayable gaming experience.
