Space management strategy game “Starport Delta” announced for Steam

Independent game developer Cloudfire Studios is bringing Starport Delta, a new real-time space strategy and management game to Steam on March 27. Gamers can experience the galaxy’s most dangerous threats, lead their space stations to success and ensure a future for their citizens. In Starport Delta, players must focus on designing and building their own space station while experiencing the stories of the universe.

SpaceWorm

Survive the dangers of space

In a galaxy filled with imminent threats, players must defend their stations to the best of their abilities by building the most strategic defenses. Dangers take many forms in deep space:

  • Alien pirates stealing resources from the very buildings making up the players’ stations.
  • Massive space worms devouring anything and everything in their path.
  • Space storms deactivating various parts of stations.
  • Meteor showers raining down and destroying unprotected buildings.
  • Deadly radiation blasts endangering the lives of residents.

Pirates

Engage in campaign missions

Players take on the role of the Empire’s troubleshooter and travel from station to station, improving efficiency and design for understaffed or negligent commanders. While harvesting resources and expanding their network of buildings, players will meet friends and foes as they journey through the campaign narrative.

MiningShip

Explore the galactic sandbox

With the opportunity to command, build, and expand their own space stations, players get to choose how they are designed and run and pursue challenging goals for the growth of their stations. Players must make complex and ethical decisions:

  • Balance the station design between mining, housing, and trade.
  • Manage defense expenditure and infrastructure
  • Evacuate citizens or risk loss of life from deadly radiation bursts
  • Rescue or airlock problematic residents and risk attracting space worms
  • Micro-manage building maintenance personally or automate with slower repair drones

Starport Delta

Upgrade the station

Players are able to create unique upgrade combinations that result in powerhouse space stations. Grouping together three oxygen plants will upgrade to supply a larger area, whereas three mining depots will add a bonus platform with an additional ship, and other buildings have their own unique benefits.

Starport Delta is coming to PC via Steam on March 27.
