Avant-garde independent developer Triple Topping and soft-hearted game publisher Playdius announce today that colorful platformer Spitkiss will be available on iOS, Android and PC on November 7th. Previously showcased this summer at Gamescom 2018, the game is now ready for pre-order on the Apple App Store and pre-register on Google Play for $1.99/2.29€. Spitkiss is a trippy and colorful story of boundless love, told through precision platforming. Players take on the role of spitkissers, sending messages of love and hope back and forth with bodily fluids and emoji.
With tight one-finger touch controls for mobile and optimized mouse and gamepad controls for PC, Spitkiss delivers an intuitive gameplay with unconventional storytelling and puzzle-platforming. This unusual tale is told on two layers. One story takes place in the metanarrative of the spitkissers, the other in the hand-drawn tale of Ymer, whose body is represented as the playground of the game.
Players must “lovespit” their way through Ymer’s organs and inner space by jumping, trickling, bouncing, and bullet timing. Surgical precision and fast reflexes will be required by spitkissers navigating Ymer’s body in this thoughtful story that re-examines traditional notions of love, relationships, and gender identity.
