Humble Games and Summerfall Studios have revealed details about their upcoming live-streamed event, “Myth and Music: An Evening with Stray Gods,” in support of their highly anticipated role-playing game, “Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical.” The event will feature performances from the voice cast of the game, including Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
The live stream, premiering on April 12th at 7 pm PT/April 13th at 1 pm AET, will be hosted by 2016 Golden Joystick YouTuber award winner Jesse Cox on his Twitch channel. Along with musical performances, viewers can look forward to new information and insights into the game.
“Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical” is an interactive role-playing game set in a modern fantasy world where Greek Gods live hidden among us. Players follow the story of college dropout Grace, who is granted the power of a Muse and tasked with uncovering the truth behind her predecessor’s death. As players charm, negotiate, or strong-arm their way through the game, they will impact their path to the end and shape the soundtrack to their unique musical experience.
Written by David Gaider (Dragon Age, KotOR), “Stray Gods” features a dynamic cast of characters and a heartfelt blend of Greek mythology and contemporary musical theater. The game’s songs are composed by Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Banner Saga); Scott Edgar, Steven Gates, and Simon Hall of Tripod; and Australian art pop musician and Twitch streamer Montaigne (Jess Cerro). Troy Baker serves as the game’s voice director and stars alongside Laura Bailey, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and additional cast members from games, television, and Broadway to be revealed soon.
