Autodesk and the Game Development World Championship (GDWC) introduced the Student Game Award category for student-developed projects for the first time in 2021. The Category was hugely popular among student developers, gathering over 200 game submissions from all over the world. With the support of Autodesk, the Student Game Award has returned for a second Season as a part of GDWC 2022.
Autodesk is the software company behind professional 3D animation and modeling tools like Maya and 3ds Max. The Game Development World Championship is an open global competition for game developers.
The Student Game Award is now open for entries for all students anywhere in the world. It doesn’t matter if you’re studying game development, anthropology, biology, history, or something else, or just diving into the world of game development for the first time. If you have a game to show, you are welcome to join.
GDWC and Autodesk aim to highlight new and rising talents in game development for their innovative and outstanding design, artistic, and overall game development accomplishments ranging from 2D to 3D and everything in between.

Five best student teams get fame, visibility, and bragging rights, as well as awesome Autodesk swag. The winning team will also take home a bunch of Autodesk licenses and deep industry knowledge with executive coaching sessions.
As always with GDWC, participation is completely free for developers. Student games already submitted to the GDWC 2022, can now also be submitted to the Student Game Award.
