Mobile game powerhouses Outplay Entertainment and SYBO have joined forces to launch Subway Surfers Blast, the latest addition to the immensely popular Subway Surfers franchise. Developed in collaboration with SYBO, Subway Surfers Blast expands Outplay Entertainment’s portfolio of fun and accessible games for players worldwide to enjoy.

Subway Surfers Blast offers an entirely new gameplay experience for fans of the franchise, enabling them to help their favorite Subway Surfers characters build and explore Subway City in never-before-seen ways. Players will solve challenging puzzles, earn stars, and blast through new levels to unlock rewards and decorate their dream hangout.

Copenhagen-based mobile game studio SYBO, creator of Subway Surfers—the most downloaded game of the past decade—and Outplay Entertainment, the UK’s largest independent mobile game developer, have teamed up for the first time to develop Subway Surfers Blast. The game allows players to explore the Subway Surfers world in a brand new puzzle adventure.

Mathias Gredal Nørvig, CEO of SYBO, highlighted the enduring appeal of Subway Surfers, which has shown no signs of slowing down even after being named the most downloaded game of 2022, more than a decade after its launch. Nørvig expressed excitement about partnering with Outplay Entertainment to create Subway Surfers Blast, providing fans with an entirely new way to engage with their beloved characters.

Subway Surfers Blast is the fourth expansion of the Subway Surfers franchise, which also features Subway Surfers Match, Subway Surfers Tag, and the flagship Subway Surfers game, which recently surpassed 4 billion lifetime downloads. Subway Surfers has also experienced a viral resurgence on TikTok, amassing over 7 million followers on the platform.

Douglas Hare, Co-Founder and CEO of Outplay Entertainment, emphasized the significance of adding the Subway Surfers name to their portfolio, citing it as a major growth opportunity that solidifies their expertise in working with partners to bring their IPs to a wider audience. Hare expressed enthusiasm for the future growth of the title in collaboration with SYBO.

Established in 2011, Outplay Entertainment has extensive experience in adapting popular IPs for mobile platforms, including Gordon Ramsay and Angry Birds. The company is recognized as one of Europe’s leading developers. Its culinary mobile puzzle game, Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast, has over 5 million downloads and has been nominated for several awards, including Best Puzzle Game at the TIGA Games Awards 2022.
