Team17 Digital has announced the launch of its in-house developed black comedy slasher-adventure game, Killer Frequency, on Steam, Meta Quest 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox on June 1st. Set in a 1980s Midwestern US town, players will follow the story of Forrest Nash, a washed-up DJ and presenter of the late-night show “The Scream,” as he tries to help listeners and callers being stalked by a mysterious masked murderer.
Players will interact with callers using various conversation options while listening for clues and information to help them survive. The game will also involve solving puzzles in the radio studio and maintaining the show by playing 1980s-inspired tunes. The player’s choices will determine the fate of each caller, the identity of the killer, and whether the show continues until dawn.
