‘Teamfight Tactics: Dawn of Heroes’ Update Full Details

Riot Games has revealed full details on Teamfight Tactics: Dawn of Heroes, which adds new champions, traits, and mechanics to the game. In total, they will be adding 12 new champions and two new traits (excluding unique 5-cost traits).

Cannoneer

After their 5th shot, Cannoneer Champions replace their next attack with a cannon shot after dealing a percentage of their maximum Mana as physical damage to enemies near the target. Here’s who’s packing the heat:

Senna
Tristana
Miss Fortune
Lucian

Sentinel

At the start of combat, the Sentinel with the highest Health gains a shield that grants Attack Speed each time it is applied. When the shield is destroyed or expires it will pass to the ally with the lowest percent Health. The shield Health and the Attack Speed get bigger with more Sentinels.

Senna
Olaf
Pyke
Rakan
Irelia
Galio
Lucian
Akshan

New Mechanics

Shadow Items
As Pengu continues to fight the Black Mist, the weapons of Chaos, Shadow Items, will be removed.

For Shadow Emblems, rather than removing all of them entirely, their ‘Shadow’ status will be changed to signal their lack of component recipes. We’ll continue to give these Emblems out like we do Items through the Armory. With the change to Shadow Emblems to componentless Emblems, we’re also adding new Emblems for the remaining (non 5-cost) traits who currently are Spatula-less. Players can expect to see new Shadow Emblems for Brawler, Draconic, Invoker, and Ranger.

Tome of Emblems
The Tome of Emblems is an item that allows players to access a shop of four Emblems to choose from. The Tome has a chance of dropping from the Divine Blessing, but can rarely end up in the hands of PvE encounters. When the Tome of Emblems is inside of an orb, that orb cannot be opened unless you have the bench space to accommodate the Tome.

Radiant Items
Players will be introduced to new and powerful tools called Radiant Items. Similar to Shadow Items, each Vanilla completed Item will have a Radiant version, but this time, they’ll simply be an overpowered version of the original Item with no drawbacks. Players can only receive one Radiant Item per game. However, players will get to choose their Radiant Item from a selection of five in the Radiant Armory that appears for all players at stage 3-2.

Divine Blessing
Divine Blessing is a loot orb that grants the same essential contents for all players but only once they drop below 40 health. Blessings grant a high amount of immediate value, offering a combination of the following:

  • Items (Components)
  • Gold
  • Consumables
  • Spatula
  • Champions

New Little Legends and Boards

In Dawn of Heroes, TFT will be introducing new Little Legends and Boards, including the new Adventurers and High Noon themes.
