TEAMS REVEALED FOR THE FIRST EVER VAINGLORY UNIFIED SPRING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Following seven thrilling weeks of the Vainglory8 competition, Super Evil Megacorp is one step closer to crowning the best Vainglory team in the West.

Super Evil Megacorp, creators of Vainglory, the world’s leading mobile esport, revealed the competing teams for the Vainglory Unified Spring Championships. The top six teams in Europe and the top six teams from North America are now confirmed after the decisive Vainglory8 Challenge Battle on May 6th.

The Spring Championships take place from May 19th to the 21st at the legendary O2 Arena in London, and will be the biggest mobile esports tournament to take place in the UK. This will be the first time that both North American and European teams will compete at the same regional championship. Teams from Europe have yet to secure a win over their North American counterparts but that could all change at this Spring’s Championship, with both regions boasting exceptionally strong rosters. This will be the first big event since numerous top esports organizations joined the Vainglory competitive community earlier this year. Teams confirmed to compete include Team SoloMid (TSM), Cloud9 and Hammers Esports from North America and Team Secret, Fnatic and G2 Esports from the EU.

The tournament format for the three-day event was set-up to celebrate each region. With Day One giving teams a chance to study opposing regions and Day Two allowing these regions to clash for the first time.

Day 1 – Regional Play

EU:

SK Gaming VS Mousesports

Fnatic VS Cyclone

NA:

Hammers Esports VS Immortals

Gankstars VS Tempo Storm

Day 2 – Cross Regional

Cloud9 VS TBD

Team Secret VS TBD

G2 Esports VS TBD

Team SoloMid VS TBD

Day 3 – Semifinals and Grand Finals

Competing teams will be determined solely by remaining competitors and their seeds, regardless of region.

What will happen when North American early game aggression meets European late game scaling? Can Europe bring something new to the table that will surprise North America? And how will teams adapt and perform as the tournament progresses?

Tickets are available now for £15, as well as VIP Packages for £65, which include access to all 3 days of competition. Fans can purchase tickets now on Eventbrite.

For fans unable to attend the event, the action will be streamed live on Vainglory’s Twitch.TV, Facebook and YouTube channels. Vainglory can be downloaded for free from the Amazon Appstore, the App Store and Google Play.
