As an open-world street-racing RPG with the entire US as its setting, The Crew was a wildly ambitious achievement in 2014, and it’s gotten even better since its release. In addition to delivering a huge, always-online experience with missions that could be played solo or in co-op, its first year brought the Wild Run expansion – which added new vehicle specs, tons of new activities, and monthly mega-competitions known as Summits – as well as a graphical overhaul that made its open world even more impressive. With the Calling All Units expansion set to add even more in November, here’s a look at how The Crew has grown and changed since its early days.
The Crew and its Wild Run expansion are available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and Calling All Units will be available for all three platforms on November 29. You can currently grab the PC version of The Crew for free via Ubisoft Club until October 14.
