The Diamond Casino & Resort Coming to GTA V Online

Rockstar Games’ own Grand Theft Auto V has been running for over five years, and its online mode has become one of the most active communities ever since it launched and was continuously built upon with feature after feature. Starting with The Independence Day Special, to the Flight School Update, having Heists added, throwing new vehicles in for players to earn, plus going above and beyond with the Cunning Stunts update which allowed players to add their own customizable racetrack online … To be honest, I thought that Rockstar Games had finished releasing all the content they created for GTA V. But it turns out I am wrong.

According to Rockstar’s official website, another update is coming to the game:

“While sitting in bottlenecked traffic on the LS Freeway, you may have noticed a new construction project taking shape at a small building nestled between Vinewood Hills and the scenic backdrop of the Tataviam Mountains. Don’t let the recent removal of that faded “OPENING SOON” sign dissuade you, The Diamond Casino & Resort – a brand-new luxury destination and the largest mass entertainment complex of its kind in Southern San Andreas – will open its doors later this summer.

With something for everyone, The Diamond Casino & Resort will feature lavish amenities, exclusive shopping, first-class entertainment, and state-of-the-art gaming facilities.

Whether you’re having a night on the town with friends or a seeking a brief solitary escape, The Diamond Casino & Resort is open to one and all. Come experience the tasteful luxury that the Diamond has to offer — including best-in-class concierge, valet parking, the exhilaration of spinning the Lucky Wheel for a chance at life-changing prizes, a finely curated selection of spirits at the bars and lounges, a range of sophisticated table games, and much more.

Stay tuned for more details and an inside look at the largest and most extravagant addition to the sprawling metropolis of Los Santos, coming soon.”

As stated above, we are seeing a casino (and from the sounds of it, a pretty big one) being added to the game’s online mode, and there’s no word yet if it will be added to offline. Regardless, based on the description above, it feels like we can do a lot on property! It’s a drinking spot for your character to hang out at, and it’s a place to possibly earn some quick cash. The one thing that comes to mind when I see this update is the possibility of a brand new heist mission. You see this type a lot in films (like Oceans 11 for example) where you plan to rob a casino of their millions. So, the chance to possibly pull that off in-game would be pretty cool to do with your friends! If this happens, you can expect players to jump at the chance to do something like that as soon as this addition launches.

As stated above, it releases later this Summer — so stay tuned here at GamingLyfe as we wait for more details!
