The Game Awards 2019 — World Premiere Highlights

The Game Awards is a live event streamed all over the world to provide awards to the winning nominees of tons of different categories. It’s the biggest celebration of games and highlights the best of 2019. Not only do they announce the winners, there are also world premieres revealing numerous new announcements of games as well as tons of trailers. Even if the announcements and trailers are what bring in the majority of viewers, this is an awards show. To review the list of nominees and winners, check-out the other article here:

Xbox Series X — World Premiere

The announcement and reveal of the next Xbox sure was a surprise. The next Xbox is called Xbox Series X and looks to be a PC tower with an updated Xbox controller featuring a share button.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II

Coming from the hype of Xbox Series X, Ninja Theory has shown off their next game for that console. The trailer featured some hard rock screaming.

Godfall

A looter-slasher game (that will be coming out during the 2020 holidays) was the first trailer to show that it is coming to PlayStation 5.

Bravely Default II

The sequel to Bravely Default, an RPG that was previously released on the Nintendo 3DS.

Weird West

From the co-creators of Prey and Dishonored, which is an action RPG set within a surreal vision.

League of Legends get a couple spin-off games.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story and CONV/RGENCE are spin-offs of the League of Legends franchise.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance spiritual successor to play online or on the cuff in this co-op action RPG.

Brendan “Playerunkown” Greene’s next game Prologue

The person who started the Battle Royale genre in PUBG (Player Unknown Battle Grounds).

Humankind

Create your own civilization by combining 60 historical cultures from the Bronze to the Modern Age.

No More Heroes 3

In a surprising trailer that no one was expecting started to appear as a totally different game with an animated art style. At the end screen, Travis breaks through with his shenanigans for No More Heroes 3 coming in 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077

A trailer that gave a behind the scenes look at the Cyberpunk soundtrack.

Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash Event

The latest holiday event (which has gone live) will have players drop onto the Mirage Voyage party boat. It will offer a new Legendary Skin for players who take part in it.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The latest trailer showed-off more of the beautiful adventure game that will be available on March 11, 2020.

Gears Tactics

A turn-based, tactical, action game based on the Gears franchise will be available April 28, 2020.

Surgeon Simulator 2

The hit simulator game that has the player assume the role of a doctor (fixing or not fixing up people) will be coming out in 2020.

Sons of the Forest

The sequel to The Forest, which was a survival game to stay alive against a society of cannibalistic mutants. The latest trailer showed off some freaky supernatural occurrences.

The Wolf Among Us 2

The sequel to Telltale’s story-driven adventure game featuring classic fairytale characters.

Ghost of Tsushima

An extended look at what PlayStation’s State of Play teaser showed a couple days go. Sucker Punch’s next game is an action game set in Japan coming to PS4 next summer.

Nine to Five

A tactical first-person shooter featuring three teams of three players competing against each other over three intense rounds.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elseweyr

The next expansion to The Elder Scrolls Online will take players to Skyrim.

New World

A massively multiplayer online game being made by Amazon Games. The game will be set in the 17th century and will have players exploring an island called Aeternum.

Fast & Furious: Crossroads

Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel took the stage to announce the Game of the Year winner, but they had one last surprise for the night. The trailer for Fast & Furious: Crossroads was shown off and it appears to have some characters from the film franchise. Both Rodriguez and Diesel’s characters are seen as well as Tyreese. The game is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios (Project Cars and Need for Speed).
