Daedalic Entertainment and NACON have announced The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Precious Edition, a special edition of the upcoming story-driven adventure game set in Tolkien’s Middle-earth. The game is scheduled for release on May 25th, 2023, with pre-orders for both the Standard and Precious Editions now open on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC, the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 and 5. A physical edition for consoles will also be available at launch, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for later in the year.
The Precious Edition is designed specifically for Tolkien enthusiasts and includes a variety of bonus content. This edition offers over 100 exclusive art pieces, a lore compendium that delves into the untold history of Middle-earth, additional Sindarin voiceovers for the game’s Elves, and more. The focus on immersing players in the world of Middle-earth makes the Precious Edition a highly desirable package for both fans and gamers.
