Swords of Legends Online, the stunning MMORPG from publisher Gameforge and partners Wangyuan Shengtang & Aurogon, is about to receive its biggest content update yet, with Update 2.0: The Firestone Legacy releasing on February 24th, 2022. As the release draws nearer, Gameforge is excited to unveil the second new character class that will be available to players: the Warrior.

Long ago, the Firestone clan and spirit foxes came together in the Floral Palace, where they established a new community built on both of their respective cultures. The children that emerged from the union of these two races were born with remarkable physical prowess and selected as guardians of their homeland.

The male disciples became known as Crystal Warriors, as they were able to turn their bodies as hard as stone; the female disciples meanwhile became known as Spirit Warriors, due to their ability to channel excess spiritual power into their swords.

Crystal Warrior (Male)

Roles: Tank and Melee DPS
Weapon: Crystal Sword
Class Zone: Snowing Blossom Paradise

Sub-class Overview:

Crystal Warriors follow the teachings of the Firestone clan, practicing the art of refining stones and worshiping the stone god. Using a special technique to modify their bones, Crystal Warriors can fuse the essence of crystals into their bodies and combine them with their souls. When fighting, they harness the power of these crystals to perform a combination of physical and magical moves.

Offensively, their Dragon’s Might mastery allows them to incorporate the power of the spirit stone into their sword; the higher the spirit power, the more agile the Crystal Warrior’s sword attacks become.

Defensively, the Stoneskin mastery heavily empowers the body of a Crystal Warrior, greatly increasing their defenses and mitigating incoming damage. With this mastery, they can also summon fire runes from the earth to cast ranged defensive spells, or empower their sword to deflect attacks.

Spirit Warrior (Female)

Roles: Tank & Melee DPS
Weapon: Spirit Sword
Class Zone: Snowing Blossom Paradise

Sub-class Overview:

Trained from a young age, Warriors must learn to master their physical constitution in order to increase their efficiency and durability in battle. Where Crystal Warriors harness the power of stones and use their spiritual power to fortify themselves from within, the young female disciples focus on channeling this spiritual power without, creating a new generation of Warriors.

From a very early age, Spirit Warriors are trained in two separate masteries that grant them spiritual strength, rather than raw physical fortitude. By projecting their excess spirit force into their blades and scabbard instead of their own bodies, they are able to greatly increase their offensive power or even the power of their allies.

Offensively, the Spirit Blade mastery focuses on channeling extra qi into the blade for powerful single target and area of effect spells. The Bodyguard mastery, on the other hand, grants the Spirit Warrior the strength of mountains to buff themselves and their allies as needed.

Class Lore:

The origins of the Warriors go back thousands of years ago when the ancestors of the Firestone clan settled at Changhe Mountain. The stones scattered around the mountain are beset with runes, and in combination with the spiritual power of the mountain, taught these earliest Warriors the secrets to longevity, making them near immortal. Over the centuries, the Firestone clan gradually split into disparate groups, wandering the lands and taking with them stones from the mountain to pass their teachings on to subsequent generations.

Eventually, the son of the patriarch of one of these clans, Jiang Zhenyan, discovered a vast system of tunnels beneath Changhe Mountain and decided that it was finally time for his clan to settle. They built villages and ancestral halls and established the Floral Palace with the aid of the spirit foxes they met on their travels. Combining the teachings of both the Firestone clan and the spirit foxes, the children who shared the blood of both tribes were trained to protect the palace and became the powerful Warriors we know today.
