Scarlet Moon Records is excited to release THE WORLD IS SQUARE, a Valentine’s Day tribute to Squaresoft JRPGs from the SNES and PSX eras lovingly arranged by producer and videogame remixing pioneer Mustin. Mustin–best known as the co-founder of OneUp Studios and The OneUps–arranges fan-favorite tracks from Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy VII in a series of smooth ballads including live violin and guitar. Each track is dedicated to a special girl in Mustin’s life, making a perfect musical accompaniment for Valentine’s Day. THE WORLD IS SQUARE is licensed and available today:
- THE WORLD IS SQUARE on Bandcamp
- THE WORLD IS SQUARE on iTunes
- THE WORLD IS SQUARE on Spotify
“I spent countless hours as a kid playing through these games,” notes arranger/ and producer Mustin. “Adulthood didn’t seem to hinder me in any way seeing as how I have bought every release and remake of Final Fantasy IV. Every one of these themes is a time travel device that takes me back to my youth – sharing the emotions of these characters on my screen. I hope the listeners share my nostalgia!”
