Today, publisher Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studios unveiled Sound of the Sea, the highly anticipated expansion for their popular free-to-play open-world MMORPG, Tower of Fantasy. Set to launch on May 11th, this exciting expansion introduces a brand-new map, world boss, simulacrum, and a series of fresh challenges for players to conquer.
As players dive into the Sound of the Sea expansion, they will embark on a thrilling journey to explore the Deepsea Caverns of The Dark Source, located in the most perilous depths of the ocean. To brave the crushing water pressure at these depths, players must first upgrade their materials by completing prerequisite missions. The expansion also introduces two new puzzle-solving missions, Trapped Patrol Guard and Inactive Surveillance Guard, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the game.
In a departure from previous Tower of Fantasy expansions, Sound of the Sea raises the difficulty level based on Dimension, rather than Wanderer level. As a result, players will face more powerful enemies and enjoy greater rewards for solving puzzles and discovering treasure chests.
The expansion also unveils a menacing new World Boss, Abyssant: Nakya, a colossal red, spider-like skeleton that will test the skills of even the most experienced Wanderers.
In addition to the new map, challenges, and World Boss, Sound of the Sea introduces a unique physical simulacrum named Gnonno. Aspiring to be a great explorer like her grandfather, Nuok, Gnonno is known for her wild and troublesome nature. Despite her deep knowledge of the treacherous seas, a tragic incident from her past involving her best friend remains shrouded in mystery. Gnonno’s abilities include summoning a bizarre, octopus-like creature and commanding its tentacles, as well as wielding the powerful weapon, Mini Hurricane, during her explorations.
