Tracks – Winter Update Arrives Tomorrow

Tracks – the Train Set Game will tomorrow receive a free and festive Winter Update. This is the adorable wooden train set simulation’s largest update yet, bringing with it a gingerbread train, a new bedroom environment, 16 new environmental objects, snow, the ability to manipulate hue and fog density of environments, and a new cargo carriage game mechanic. Last but not least, the aptly named SoundTracks – The Train Set Game will also release on Steam tomorrow, allowing players to listen to the game’s relaxing soundtrack on the go.

The Winter Update follows hot on the heels of the game’s September Early Access release, as well as the Halloween themed Night-Time Update in October. Tracks’ expansive Winter Update will arrive at 9AM PST/5PM GMT, adding Christmas trees, igloos, festive lights and much more.

Also new is the Bedroom Environment, giving players a new domestic setting in which to explore and build in. This room makes a return from the old Itch.io build when Tracks was in its infancy, which will please long-time fans.

New game mechanics from the Winter Update include the ability to increase or decrease fog density at any time, adding a sense of eeriness to your creations if needs be. Players can also now change the lighting of their scenes via a hue colour wheel. In free-play mode, players are now able to collect and deposit cargo in their carriages.
