TUNE-IN TO THE SUMMER GAME FEST’S JAM-PACKED SECOND DEVELOPER SHOWCASE

Following an incredible first showcase that saw over 1 million aggregate views across platforms, Summer Game Fest is hosting its second Developer Showcase on Monday, July 20. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT with an acoustic rendition of selections from the Sayonara Wild Hearts soundtrack, performed by a composer on the title, Jonathan Eng. The main event will go live at 11:00 a.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. PT, and fans can tune in to the event via all major streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook) or follow along on IGN, GameSpot and summergamefest.com.

Curated by the Day of the Devs team and Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards), the July Developer Showcase will feature special guests, including the first-ever live performance of the Bugsnax theme song by Kero Kero Bonito and a high-quality lineup of exclusive games, including: An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs (Strange Scaffold), Dreamscaper (Afterburner Studios/Maple Whispering Limited), Figment: Creed Valley (Bedtime Digital Games), Ghostrunner (One More Level/505 Games), Griefhelm (Johnny Dale Lonack/Thorrnet Publishing), I Am Dead (Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg/Annapurna Interactive), Mechinus (Huey Games), Tunche (LEAP Games Studios/HypeTrain Digital), Unto The End (2 Ton Studios/Big Sugar) and Voidtrain (Nearga/HypeTrain Digital), plus world premiere exclusive reveals from iam8bit, Panic, MWM Interactive, Team17 and ustwo games.

The July Summer Game Fest Developer Showcase will also highlight a number of titles from Girls Make Games, a series of summer camps, workshops and game jams designed to inspire the next generation of designers, creators and engineers. Created by Laila Shabir and Ish Syed and launched in 2014, the program has reached over 20,000 girls in 89 cities worldwide.

To wrap up the stream, viewers will be treated to a live set from artist and musician Baiyon. Hailing from Kyoto, Baiyon mixes graphic design and music to create unique multimedia experiences, including innovative games like PixelJunk Eden 2 at his post as Creative Director of developer Q-Games. Baiyon is also generously providing the music that will be played throughout the showcase.
