The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is the ultimate wireless gaming headset, providing exceptional audio quality and versatility to gamers. As a gamer, I appreciate that it is compatible with almost all gaming devices, including Xbox, PlayStation, Windows PCs, Mac, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. This makes it an ideal choice for gamers who want to use one headset for all their gaming needs. This headset is right on the money with all the latest and greatest technology Turtle Beach has to offer, but it will cost you a pretty penny.
The Stealth Pro’s premium build quality is immediately evident upon unboxing it, and it is undoubtedly the highest material quality of any Turtle Beach headset ever made. Its main frame and arch are all metal and feel super sturdy. Seriously off the chains dope, sorry G-LYFE Nation, we won’t be giving this one away. The new detachable TruSpeak boom mic has a cover to hide the hole on the earpiece, making it look nice and clean. The volume button wheel built into the earpiece is not only functional but is virtually invisible to the naked eye. Every function you need is built into the headset frame, but at first glance, it looks so tidy that there don’t appear to be buttons on it. Hence the product name “Stealth Pro”; okay, I see you, Turtle Beach.
The engineers have heard my call, and thank you! The headset comes with a super tight carrying case, Turtle Beach even included a second pocket for the transmitter. The carrying case makes it easy to take the Stealth Pro on the go or stow it away, providing peace of mind for gamers who travel frequently.
The standout feature of the Stealth Pro is the hand-matched 50mm Nanoclear drivers. These drivers are larger than the competition, with 56% more surface area than 40mm drivers, providing more bass and an immersive soundstage. The optimized audio cavity and active software tuning produce highly detailed sound, including captivating 3D surround sound with Windows Sonic on Xbox and Sony 3D Audio for PS5. We have never debated sound quality being an issue with Turtle Beach products, and they didn’t disappoint here.
The active noise-cancellation on the Stealth Pro is the most effective available in a gaming headset. Four internal noise-canceling microphones reduce noise levels by 25dB, making it adaptable to any situation. Whether I want to tune out distractions or accentuate ambient sounds for nearly full noise transparency, noise-canceling adjustments can be made using the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, or by mapping control noise-cancellation levels to the headset’s wheel. Just to put this into perspective, we had a loud box fan 5 feet away, and it literally deleted 98% of its noise.
The dual-swappable 12+ hour battery packs provide continuous power, and a quick 15-minute charge gives three additional hours of battery life. This is a massive brain move; huge props to Turtle Beach, you will literally never run out of battery with this setup. You can quickly pull off the earpiece cover and swap to a new battery in just a few seconds. The low-profile transmitter station delivers a lag-free 2.4 GHz wireless connection, serves as the charging station for the battery packs, and has a built-in USB-A port for charging other devices. The headset’s lag-free wireless solution provides up to 50′ / 15m of wireless range, optimizing gaming audio and chat in real time for a lag-free gameplay advantage.
The plush leatherette-wrapped memory foam ear cushions with Turtle Beach’s patented ProSpecs glasses-friendly technology provide a snug seal for enhanced noise isolation and all-day comfort. The refined, versatile design, soft-touch finishes, and durable steel-reinforced construction make it suitable for gaming, commuting, traveling, and everything in between. It’s mad comfy, and we had no issues with 6 – 8 hour gaming sessions, but after that, it did feel a bit heavy on the head. I don’t know the exact weight of the Stealth Pro, but it’s in the middle of the road for wireless headsets.
The Stealth Pro is not only an excellent gaming headset but also perfect for daily lifestyle use. Not only is the boom mic detachable, but the headset has two S.M.A.R.T. Concealed Microphones, allowing me to chat on the go. This feature is actually mad fire; whoever thought of it needs a raise! We are rocking this headset everywhere! The Superhuman hearing one-touch activation on the headset to swap when I want to listen to music makes the daily lifestyle usability complete.
With Turtle Beach’s proprietary Superhuman Hearing sound setting, the Stealth Pro offers a distinct advantage on the battlefield. Gamers can now toggle between three different preset levels and adjust the intensity, providing a more immersive gaming experience. The feature is particularly useful for first-person shooters where positional audio is critical to getting an edge over the competition. Whether it’s hearing an opponent’s footsteps, gunshots, or even the sound of reloading, the Stealth Pro allows gamers to hear it first and react quickly.
The Turtle Beach Audio Hub app provides easy adjustability, including EQ settings, noise-cancellation levels, microphone sensitivity, noise gate, mic monitoring levels, and more. Overall, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is a premium gaming headset that delivers top-tier audio and comfort. While the price tag of $329 for the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro may seem steep, the quality and versatility of the headset make it worth the investment.
