The live streaming drama Tsunami continues as Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm has been banned from Twitch! As of now, there is no reason to speculate this was related to Twitch’s mass investigation of sexual misconduct reports. A statement was released by the live streaming platform this afternoon.
“As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”
In the last year, DrDisrespect sits rank 10th in total followers, and 33rd in total viewers according to Sullygnome. He is one of Twitch’s biggest names and is signed to an exclusive deal worth millions of dollars. It isn’t his first ban at E3 2019 he was live-streaming his events on the convention floor when his cameraman followed him into a public bathroom. Oops!
A statement has not yet been releasing by DrDisrespect but we expect to hear one shortly. No information on the length of the ban or cause is clear at this time.
