UBISOFT® ANNOUNCES PILOT PROGRAM PHASE 2 FOR TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX: SIEGE’S ESPORT SCENE

Today, Ubisoft® announced Phase 2 of the revenue sharing Pilot Program for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege’s esport scene that began in 2018. This is a new step for the program, riding on the continued success of allowing revenue sharing with Pro League teams, based on specific in-game items, providing organizations and pro players additional revenue directly from the game to help foster a more stable environment. Phase 2 of the program will take place from June 2019 and run until May 2020 and will seek to develop a long-lasting and high-level competitive scene by supporting teams and help evolve the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem for our players.

Phase 2 of the Pilot Program expands on many levels from its previous iteration, reaching the highest standards of the esport landscape. With this new phase, up to 16 teams will be included, compared to 11 for Phase 1. The pilot program is open for all to apply in 4 regions: North America, Europe, Latin America & Asia Pacific.

Phase 2 of the Pilot Programs introduces a new and open qualitative selection process. Teams both inside and outside of the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem can apply. Additionally, in an effort to promote a fair and neutral evaluation process, third parties will be involved in the selection of all candidates. This approach aims to identify the best partners, accurately assess their team vision and why they should be part of Rainbow Six: Siege’s ever-expanding ecosystem.

The teams involved in this Pilot Program get a share of the revenues resulting from team branded and Pro League related in-game sales.
