December can be a month of great indulgence, excessive consumption and an ever-so-expanding waistline. Not so at FitXR – the boutique developer behind BOXVR – who are fighting fit this Christmas!
On Thursday two new workouts will launch in-game. These have been especially designed to fight those seasonal excesses by Ianthe (below), one of the team of fitness instructors that work with the developers at FITXR to produce effective virtual workouts.
BOXVR is a rhythm based fitness game which brings high intensity boxing workouts into virtual reality. It’s the only VR boxing title which features regularly updated workouts that are designed by real life boxing instructors. Ianthe is part of a team of five instructors who were handpicked from the thriving London studio fitness scene.
The game launched on Steam in June, and has since established a dedicated and loyal following and consistently positive reviews.
The game’s key features include:
WORKOUT – Five leading fitness instructors from the world of studio fitness who produce regularly updated calorie busting boxing workouts.
TRAIN – Algorithmic boxing workouts generated on the fly to music uploaded by the player.
SURVIVE – A challenging endurance mode pits players against an endless runner!

They have also recently announced support for Windows Mixed Reality and will soon be supporting Chinese, Korean, Dutch, German, Japanese, Spanish, French, Russian in addition to the English language.
