Developed by Studio HG and published by YJM Games, OVERTURN tells the tale of a daring escape of two subjects from a deadly laboratory that engaged in live genetic experimentation, resulting in frightening psychic power. OVERTURN’s adventure combines immersive puzzle elements with tight action gameplay across multiple hours of in-game levels as players unearth the true narrative behind their capture. With the help of a new companion and fellow lab experiment subject, MAGI, players stand a chance to escape – but can they trust her?
While OVERTURN will release in-depth multiplayer functionality following the initial launch on October 17, the central story and core gameplay necessitates quick reactions to dodge incoming projectiles and mastery of your in-game arsenal. To destroy and surpass the onslaught of robotic enemies that players face, OVERTURN supplies players with beam rifles, energy swords, grenades, mechanical robots and even bare fists!
To complete this arduous journey, players may need some help. MAGI, a fellow surviving lab experiment, still suffers the effects of the lab experiments she was subjected to, but stands to help you immensely with use of her psychic powers. With offensive powerups like Infinite Charge, Grenade, and Battle MAGI, and defensive abilities such as Time Slow, Shield, and HP, MAGI has the power to save your life, and end others – but can she control her newfound abilities?
OVERTURN includes features to support content creation, including built-in Twitch chat support as well as third-person camera systems that can be manipulated to provide an alternate perspective on the action.
