Digital Extremes is set to release its most ambitious update yet for Warframe, the online sci-fi MMO, with The Duviri Paradox arriving on all platforms on April 26th. This cinematic update offers a time-looping journey through a fractured, ever-changing multidimensional world, presenting both new and returning players with an evolved gameplay experience that integrates roguelike-inspired elements.

The Duviri Paradox introduces Warframe’s fourth open world, a fractured and Void-wrecked realm ruled by Dominus Thrax. The environment’s color shifts and transposes according to Thrax’s moods, which include Fear, Anger, Joy, Envy, and Sorrow. Players will encounter different reactions and behaviors from enemies and citizens of Duviri as they venture through the visually distinct moods.

New players will have the option to start their journey with The Duviri Paradox as the Drifter or follow the game’s main path with their Warframe. This choice will not restrict players from experiencing the other path later. Returning players can access The Duviri Paradox Quest in their codex and Duviri on their Star Chart when the update launches.

Post-Quest, players can choose from three game modes: ‘The Circuit,’ a Warframe-only endless mode; ‘The Duviri Experience,’ an open-world adventure; and ‘The Lone Story,’ a solo narrative experience. The update also improves the Drifter experience by upgrading the melee combat system and adding Intrinsics for upgrading Combat, Riding Abilities, Opportunity, and Endurance. Each day, players will unlock Decrees that offer randomized powerful upgrades, which reset with each new mood Spiral.

Experienced players can utilize the new Incarnon Genesis System and install Incarnon Adapters to select eligible weapons, unlocking improvements for use in-mission. These adapters are only available in Steel Path Circuit missions on Duviri, where players will face more challenging gameplay.

The Duviri Paradox also includes The Undercroft, a broken Void space beneath Duviri’s floating islands where Dominus Thrax’s control is limited. The Undercroft features a full Warframe experience with custom arenas, Decrees, known enemies, and new threats. Completing this segment rewards players and returns them to Duviri with a restored color world.

Customizations are a crucial part of Warframe updates, and The Duviri Paradox adds new cosmetic enhancements, including facial hair options, Drifter Suits, community-concepted Deluxe Skins for Baruuk and Wisp, and Voidshell Skins for Limbo and Mesa.
