Chucklefish has announced that Wildfrost, a roguelike deck-building adventure, is set to launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch on April 12th, 2023. The game will be available in English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese, and Korean. Pre-orders for Wildfrost are currently open on Nintendo Switch, and a free demo is also available.
In Wildfrost, players venture through frosty mountains with their trusty card deck, filled with charming companions and powerful elemental items, in an attempt to save the world from a mysterious eternal winter. Reaching the Sun Temple and banishing the Wildfrost will require determination, strategic thinking, and deck-building skills.
Players will encounter various challenges on their journey, such as rescuing and recruiting frozen companions, discovering lost treasures, gifting wobbly charms, and spending hard-earned blings with enigmatic traveling merchants. The decisions made during each run will help players create a powerful deck, unique to each playthrough. By returning to Snowdwell, players can rebuild the town, unlock more cards, and discover new challenges and events, providing endless replayability.
