Wooga Appoints David Nixon as Vice President of Publishing

Wooga is pleased to announce the appointment of David Nixon to the role of Vice President (VP) of Publishing. David will oversee the full breadth of Wooga’s publishing efforts for all its games and define Wooga’s marketing vision and strategy going forward.

David joined Wooga as Principal Product Manager in October 2014. He has been promoted to the role of VP Publishing thanks to his considerable experience across a multitude of roles in the games industry, as well as his strong work in growing Wooga’s hidden object hit, Pearl’s Peril.

In his new role, David will lead Wooga’s publishing department, comprised of performance marketing, product marketing, community management, ad monetisation and customer care teams. A key component of David’s vision for the department will be to more closely integrate Wooga’s marketing efforts into the game development process and expand the presence of games in selected markets across the globe.

David exceeded expectations with his work leading Pearl’s Peril and I’m sure he will use his broad experience in the games industry to help our publishing teams expand Wooga’s profile with both current and new users across the world,” said Jens Begemann, Wooga co-founder and CEO.

I couldn’t be more excited to help Wooga conquer the world,” said David Nixon. “There is a lot of talent here and Wooga’s products and capabilities are some of the most undervalued in the industry. I can’t wait to help Wooga bring their wonderful IPs to unsuspecting casual gamers everywhere.

David created his first game at the age of 8, but didn’t officially joining the games industry until 1989. Since then he’s worked in a wide array of roles producing games, operating services and founding studios with an overriding focus on expanding the audience for games in innovative, new ways.
