New Challenges Await the One-armed, Monster-Bashing, Wrecking Machine Blacksmith inspired by twisted Slavic folk tales
Independent games publisher Versus Evil in partnership with Breadcrumbs Interactive today announced that its darkly funny action role-playing game Yaga has launched a new DLC today, ‘Roots of Evil’ priced $9.99 / £7.49 / €8.49. The DLC, just in time for Halloween, introduces a new biome, the Corrupted Forest filled with new corrupted creatures and boss characters. This new story chapter is filled with additional side quests that tell the story of Oakvale – a village under siege by corrupted beasts. The fleeing refugees suspect Leshy, the forest spirit, and wish to have him destroyed. The Woodsman thinks otherwise and comes to our one-armed hero, Ivan the Blacksmith, pleading for a more peaceful way.
Roots of Evil introduces vibrant new characters and folklore legends that Ivan must face including Kuma Lisa the trickster fox, the Trinket Kid, and Gigi the Loan Shark. Ivan will also make use of new crafting opportunities, weapons, and new magic items to help him on his new quest. Players will also get access to a new tool, the Pickaxe, used both for combat and exploration as well as two new metals for crafting, a new set of enhancements, and other items.
