AVerMedia Technologies has rolled out a firmware update for its popular HDMI 2.1 USB Capture Card, Live Gamer ULTRA 2.1. This update introduces three significant features: 5.1 multi-channel audio pass-through and capture, up to 4K144 capture, and Windows Dynamic Lighting support.
Enhanced Audio Experience with 5.1 Multi-Channel Pass-Through and Capture
Gamers can now dive into the rich and detailed soundscapes of their gameplay with the new 5.1 multi-channel surround sound pass-through and capturing feature. Note: This feature is compatible with Windows operating systems using AVerMedia RECentral software or OBS.
4K144 Capture for Windows and 4K60 for MacOS
The firmware update boosts the Live Gamer ULTRA 2.1’s capture capabilities. Users can now achieve up to 4K144 (MJPEG) capture via the RECentral software on Windows and 4K60 (MJPEG) capture via OBS on MacOS. These new options offer greater flexibility for content creation.
Windows Dynamic Lighting Compatibility
