Co-Op Gameplay Features Detailed for VR Editions
Incuvo has expanded Green Hell VR to the Meta Quest+ subscription service, allowing more virtual reality players on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 to dive into this challenging jungle survival adventure. Andrzej Wychowaniec, Incuvo’s CEO, notes that bringing Green Hell VR to Meta Quest+ will let more players experience the game, and with the upcoming co-op release in Q4, they can also enjoy playing together.
In addition to the expansion, Incuvo has announced that co-op multiplayer is set to arrive on Green Hell VR for PSVR2, Meta Quest 2, and Meta Quest 3 in Q4 2024.
Here’s a look at how co-op will be implemented:
Combat and Hunting
Players can support each other during combat with melee weapons like an axe or ranged weapons like a bow, enhancing the group’s survival chances against jungle threats like jaguars. Even in larger groups, thorough preparation is crucial.
Healing Mechanics
All diseases from single-player mode will be present in co-op, visible to other players. For instance, if one player is poisoned, others can see the symptoms and provide help. Survival requires mutual care, such as healing, feeding, and drinking. When wounds become critical and players lose consciousness, teammates can revive them by binding wounds, reducing “sleep” time. Additionally, players can remove leeches from friends during jungle and river exploration.
Building
Co-op mode will allow every player to contribute to building projects. Mechanics similar to single-player mode will enable everyone to gather materials, like sticks for a fireplace, with building materials snapping into place on ghostly frames.
Feeding and Drinking
Improved animation and UI elements for feeding and drinking will ensure a smooth experience. Players can share food and water, aiding in energy replenishment. This feature is particularly useful for reviving and quickly restoring teammates’ strength.
Green Hell VR’s availability on Meta Quest+ and the introduction of co-op multiplayer aim to enhance the gameplay experience for both new and seasoned players. Prepare to explore the jungle with your friends, equipped for survival.
