Nintendo is set to make this summer unforgettable by bringing joy and excitement to cities across the U.S. with the Play Nintendo Tour. From June 13 to September 2, families are invited to dive into the world of Nintendo at various stops nationwide. This free-to-attend tour promises a treasure trove of interactive experiences, including photo opportunities with beloved Nintendo characters, giveaways (while supplies last), and hands-on demos of the latest Nintendo Switch games.
The Play Nintendo Tour is designed to cater to everyone in the family, whether it’s discovering a new favorite character, engaging in family activities, or showcasing your skills in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Just like the Play Nintendo website, the tour is brimming with fun activities, friendly Nintendo characters, puzzles, quizzes, videos, and more.
What to Expect at the Play Nintendo Tour
Nintendo fans can look forward to a variety of engaging activities and experiences:
- Face Your Fears: Channel your inner Luigi with a spooky photo-op inspired by Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, launching on June 27.
- Red Carpet Moments: Snap a pic on the red carpet and take the stage as Peach in a demo of Princess Peach: Showtime! During this theatrical adventure, transform into various personas like Swordfighter Peach and Patissiere Peach.
- Classic Mario Fun: Share the magic of Super Mario Bros. Wonder with friends and family. Play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toads, Toadette, Yoshi, and Nabbit, and discover new power-ups.
- Speed Thrills: Join Mario and friends in the thrilling races of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the Booster Course Pass DLC.
- Pokémon Encounters: Pose with Pikachu and learn about the fascinating Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
- More Demos: Try out games like Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Nintendo Switch Sports, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Pikmin 4, Just Dance 2024, and from July 18, Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.
Parents and kids alike can indulge in themed activities, personality quizzes, jumbo puzzles featuring Mario and friends, memory matching games, and even try their luck at the claw machine to win fun items. There is also a dedicated area to learn more about the Nintendo Switch system and recommended games based on favorite characters.
Collectibles and Prizes
Guests will receive a free Play Nintendo Tour passport, which they can fill with stickers from various activities. Completing the passport earns Nintendo goodies such as Play Nintendo bracelets, coloring pages, and a Nintendo Switch Online 14-day trial code (while supplies last). Attendees can also use the claw machine to win plushies and, if they have a Nintendo Account, check in with My Nintendo to receive a Super Mario themed gift item (while supplies last) and 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points to redeem for rewards on the My Nintendo site.
